Why riders pick the eSPro

Built for the London grind

Three qualities we've verified over six years and 580+ vehicles. Not marketing — the reasons riders come back and renew.

01

Swap-and-go batteries

Twin 1.3 kWh lithium packs pop out in under 10 seconds — charge at home, no garage or cable wrangling required.

02

Lightweight at 82 kg

Half the weight of a 125cc petrol moped. Easier to filter through traffic, easier to pick up if you drop it, far cheaper to tyre.

03

Quiet & zero-emission

ULEZ-compliant everywhere, every year — no congestion charge, no emissions fees, no early-morning noise complaints.

What is the Askoll eSPro 70 and is it suitable for food delivery work in London?

The Askoll eSPro 70 is an Italian-made electric moped with a 2,700 W motor, a top speed of 41 mph, and a range of approximately 50 miles per charge from its removable lithium-ion battery (which fully charges in 2.5 hours). It is classified as an L3e vehicle in the UK, meaning a CBT licence is required to ride it.

The eSPro 70 is the most popular vehicle in Otto Scooter's London fleet, used by delivery riders working for Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Stuart, and Relay across central and west London. It is light enough to manoeuvre in heavy traffic, fast enough to keep up with petrol mopeds, and ULEZ-compliant (zero charge in London's ultra-low emission zone). Otto Scooter rents the eSPro 70 from £69 per week with full insurance, servicing, GPS tracking, and breakdown replacement included.

About the eSPro, specifically

Questions, answered

How long does a full charge actually last in London delivery?
On a mixed Zone 1–3 route with a rider of ~80 kg, riders average 42–48 miles of real delivery on a single set of twin batteries. Swap in the second pack at home mid-shift and you'll easily cover a 10-hour day.
Is the eSPro fast enough for Uber Eats / Deliveroo / Just Eat?
Yes. 41 mph is above the limit for every zone in London, and the instant torque is quicker off the line than a typical 125cc petrol moped — which is where delivery time is actually gained.
Do I need my own helmet or kit?
No. We supply a DOT-certified helmet on first pickup and fit a top-box. High-vis jackets, locks and phone mounts are available at cost, but you can also bring your own.
Where do I charge the batteries?
Anywhere with a normal UK 3-pin socket — your flat, shared hallway, a friend's place. Each battery weighs ~9 kg and has a carry handle. No dedicated charger, parking bay or wall-box required.
What if the eSPro breaks down mid-shift?
Call or WhatsApp the workshop. We'll meet you or have a replacement waiting at Hammersmith the same day. Replacement is free on every rental plan.
Can I rent this bike for personal use, not delivery?
Yes, though our insurance is specifically structured around hire-and-reward. For purely personal use, short rental or pre-owned purchase is usually the better fit — get in touch and we'll find the right plan.

The eSPro is ready. Are you?
