Otto Scooter rents electric mopeds in London from £69 per week on the Short Rental plan (4-week minimum, no upfront deposit). The Rent-to-Buy plan costs £99 per week for 31 weeks, after which the bike becomes the rider’s property.

Do I need a CBT licence?
For our electric mopeds, yes — you need a valid UK provisional or full driving licence plus a CBT certificate. For our e-bikes (ETT Trayser 2.0 and Cycl Carr-E), no licence is required.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Every rental includes comprehensive hire-and-reward insurance, valid across Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Stuart, Relay and private work. You are covered from the moment you pick up the bike.
What happens if the bike breaks down?
Call or WhatsApp us. In most cases we'll swap the bike for a replacement at our Hammersmith workshop the same day, so you stay earning. Standard service is free.
How quickly can I start riding?
Most riders collect the day after reserving — once we've verified your CBT and licence by email or WhatsApp. Pickup happens in-person at our W6 0UB workshop.
Can I buy the bike at the end of the rental?
Yes. Rent-to-buy converts your weekly payments into ownership over 31 weeks. On short rental, you can also move to pre-owned purchase at any time — we'll price it fairly against its condition.
